Wisdom?

I had all four of my wisdom teeth extracted on Monday. No big deal, right? It is when you're 41. Overall, the experience hasn't been as horrible as I imagined, but I still can't eat solid foods. I can't stand the thought of getting dry socket, so I am trying to be as gentle as I can.

The pain isn't excruciating, just kind of annoying. I can't stand talking for very long. I went back to work yesterday and just wanted people to leave me alone as my jaw is sore and it's a lot of effort to talk. Thankfully, the swelling isn't too bad. I put lots of ice on it the first two days. I'm also exhausted. I guess healing takes a lot of energy. I will be so glad for the day I can bite into real food!
